Miguel Ausili was born in Buenos Aires, where he began his academic training. Thanks to a scholarship he finished his artistic training at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, of which years later he became a professor of sculpture. Living in this place, in contact with laboratories and marble quarries, has strongly influenced his work. All the works presented here were originated from a great curiosity for the nature and shape of the materials chosen, and from a deep passion to make, manipulate and think as a unique and inseparable action. The same curiosity that originated the gathering materials and things, he also led, for long periods of time, to profound reflections on themes linked to primitive thought and more recently on the idea of garden-sculptures.
